NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD AND PUBLIC HEARING ON THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA (SHA)

MTW SUPPLEMENT FOR THE TWELVE MONTHS BEGINNING JULY 1, 2024, AND THE PHA FIVE-YEAR PLAN AMENDMENT   

COMMENT PERIOD APRIL 10,2024 THROUGH MAY 28, 2024 

The Housing Authority of the City of Sanford, Florida, hereinafter referred to as the "Sanford Housing Authority" or "SHA," is providing Notice of a Public Comment Period and Public Hearing on its MTW Supplement for the twelve months beginning July 1, 2024, and the Public Housing Authority (PHA) Five-Year Plan Amendment.

The Sanford Housing Authority submitted its PHA Five-Year Plan for FY 2020-2025 to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in May 2020. The Sanford Housing Authority amends the PHA Five Year Plan to include "SHA may convert Public Housing to the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) platform, Streamlined Voluntary Conversion, or another applicable HUD Repositioning platform."

The Public Comment Period on the SHA's MTW Supplement for the twelve months beginning July 1, 2024, and the Five-Year Plan Amendment will begin on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, and conclude on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.

SHA will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the City of Sanford Police Headquarters, 815 Historic Goldsboro Boulevard, Sanford, FL 32771. The Sanford Housing Authority's Board of Commissioners will receive verbal and/or written comments until the closing of the Public Hearing.
