The Orlando Housing Authority (OHA) is seeking input on the Moving to Work (MTW) Fiscal Year (FY) 2025/Year 14 Plan.

MOVING TO WORK (MTW)
DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM OF THE ORLANDO HOUSING AUTHORITY

The Moving to Work (MTW) Demonstration Program affords public housing authorities (PHA), with the approval of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the opportunity to design and test innovative, locally-designed strategies that use Federal dollars more efficiently, help residents find employment and become self-sufficient, and increase housing choices for low-income families. MTW gives PHAs exemptions from many existing public housing and voucher rules and more flexibility with how they use their Federal funds. MTW PHAs are expected to use the opportunities presented by MTW to inform HUD about ways to better address local community needs.

The OHA became an MTW agency in 2011. The demonstration was originally for a 7 year period. Congress has now extended the MTW Demonstration Program, for the OHA, through the year 2028.

MTW Year 12 - FY2023
This plan covers the period of April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023 and will be sent to HUD by January 15, 2022.

MTW Year 11 - FY2022
This plan covers the period of April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022 and was approved by HUD on April 23, 2021.

MTW Year 10 - FY2021
This plan covers the period of April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021 and was approved by HUD on July 31, 2020.

MTW Year 9 - FY2020
This plan covers the period of April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020 and was approved by HUD on May 10, 2019.

MTW Year 8 - FY2019
This plan covers the period of April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2019 and was approved by HUD on August 30, 2018.

MTW Year 7 - FY2018
This plan covers the period of April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018 and was approved by HUD on April 13, 2017.

MTW Year 6 - FY2017
This plan covers the period of April 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017 and was approved by HUD on May 11, 2016.

MTW Year 5 - FY2016
This plan covers the period of April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016 and was approved by HUD on June 1, 2015. The RAD Significant Amendment was approved on December 23, 2015.

MTW Year 4 - FY2015
This plan covers the period of April 1, 2014 to March 31, 2015 and was approved by HUD on November 18, 2014.

MTW Year 3 - FY2014
This plan covers the period of April 1, 2013 to March 31, 2014 and was approved by HUD on September 19, 2013.

MTW Year 2 - FY2013
This plan covers the period of January 1, 2012 to March 31, 2013 and was approved by HUD on April 11, 2012.

MTW Year 1 - FY2012
This plan covers the period of January 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012 and was approved by HUD on January 10, 2011.
