ON THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA (SHA)
FY 2027 MOVING TO WORK (MTW) SUPPLEMENT AND THE SHA FIVE-YEAR PHA PLAN GOALS AND OBJECTIVES FOR FY 2025-2030
The Housing Authority of the City of Sanford, Florida, hereinafter referred to as the "Sanford Housing Authority" (SHA), is seeking public input on the FY 2027 Moving to Work (MTW) Supplement for the twelve months beginning July 1, 2026. Additionally, the Sanford Housing Authority is providing notice of the Public Comment Period and Public Hearing for the SHA Five-Year PHA Plan (July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2030). The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) approved the SHA PHA 5-Year Plan for FY 2025 -2030 in July 2025. The SHA PHA Five-Year Plan addresses the agency's long-term mission, goals, and objectives for the 5-year period from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2030. SHA must hold an annual public hearing on any changes to the agency's goals, objectives, and policies and invite public comment. There have been no changes to the goals and objectives in the Sanford Housing Authority's Five-Year Plan.
The Public Comment Period for the Sanford Housing Authority FY 2027 MTW Supplement for the twelve months beginning July 1, 2026, and the SHA Five-Year PHA Plan goals and objectives for FY 2025-2030 will begin Monday, February 16, 2026, and conclude Thursday, April 9, 2026.
SHA will hold the Public Hearing for the FY 2027 MTW Supplement and the SHA 5-Year PHA Plan on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the City of Sanford Police Headquarters, 815 Historic Goldsboro Boulevard, Sanford, FL 32771. The SHA's Board of Commissioners will receive written comments on the MTW Supplement and the SHA 5-Year PHA Plan until April 9, 2026. Written comments should be addressed to Vivian Bryant, Esq., President/CEO, Sanford Housing Authority, 120 Lexington Green Lane, Sanford, Florida, 32771.
A copy of the FY 2027 MTW Supplement and the approved SHA Five-Year PHA Plan for FY 2025-2030 will be available for review commencing Monday, February 16, 2026, on the Orlando Housing Authority's website and at the following locations from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday*:

Public participation in the public process is encouraged, but not mandatory. All oral or written comments submitted by the close of the comment period will be considered. No comments will be considered after the close of the comment period.
