Notice of Public Comment Period - Moving to Work

NOTICE OF THE PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD AND SUBSEQUENT PUBLIC HEARING

ORLANDO HOUSING AUTHORITY
MOVING TO WORK PLAN FOR FISCAL YEAR 2022/YEAR 11 (APRIL 1, 2021 TO MARCH 31, 2022)

The Orlando Housing Authority (OHA) is seeking public input on the Moving to Work (MTW) Fiscal Year (FY) 2022/Year 11 Plan. The Plan describes OHA's MTW Program activities designed to (1) increase self-sufficiency among families served, (2) reduce costs and achieve greater cost effectiveness in Federal expenditures, and (3) increase housing choices for low-income families. The Plan delineates implementation strategies and time frames for proposed and approved activities and uses of MTW funds for the period of April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022.

The public comment period will begin Monday, September 14, 2020 and end Thursday, October 15, 2020. OHA will conduct a public hearing via video conference, Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. The OHA's Board of Commissioners will receive verbal and/or written comments on the Plan.

A copy of the MTW FY2022/Year 11 Plan will be available for review commencing Monday, September 14, 2020 at 390 N. Bumby Avenue, Orlando, Florida 32810 during normal business hours.

For anyone who wishes to provide public comment, please fill-out the Public Appearance form before the board meeting by following the steps below:

  1. Click here to go to the Public Appearance Form
  2. Fill-out the form and hit "SUBMIT" when finished.
  3. Participate in the board meeting via video conference on October 15, 2020. OHA will send you an Email invite to join the conference. Please make sure you provide OHA with your correct Email address.
  4. The Board Chair will announce your name when it is your turn to speak. There is a three (3) minute limit for public comment.

Public participation in the process is encouraged. Attendance at the public hearing is not mandatory. All oral and/or written comments submitted by the close of the comment period will be considered. No comments will be considered after the close of the comment period.
