NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD AND PUBLIC HEARING ON THE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA (SHA)
COMMENT PERIOD MAY 24, 2021 THROUGH JULY 15, 2021
The Housing Authority of the City of Sanford, Florida, hereinafter referred to as the "Sanford Housing Authority" or "SHA," is providing Notice of a Public Comment Period and Public Hearing during which comments will be accepted by the Board of Commissioners pertaining to the SHA's annual goals and objectives. Each qualified public housing authority must annually hold a public hearing regarding any changes to the goals, objectives, and policies of the agency and invite public comment. The Sanford Housing Authority has made no changes the goals and objectives in the Five-Year Plan.
The Sanford Housing Authority submitted its PHA Five-Year Plan (FY 2020 -2025) to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in May 2020. The Plan addresses the long-term mission, goals, and objectives for the agency for the five year-period from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2025. A copy of the Plan will be available for review, commencing Monday, May 24, 2021 at the Orlando Housing Authority locations listed below, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

The Public Comment Period on the SHA's annual goals and objective will open from Monday, May 24, 2021 through Thursday, July 15, 2021. The Public Hearing will be held Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. at the City of Sanford Police Headquarters, 815 Historic Goldsboro Blvd, Sanford, FL 32771. The SHA's Board of Commissioners will receive verbal and/or written comments on the goals and objectives until the closing of the Public Hearing. Written comments should be addressed to Vivian Bryant, Esq., President/CEO, Sanford Housing Authority, 120 Lexington Green Lane, Sanford, Florida, 32771.
