NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD AND PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PHA FIVE-YEAR PLAN GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA (SHA). 

COMMENT PERIOD APRIL 20, 2023  THROUGH JUNE 8, 2023.  

The Housing Authority of the City of Sanford, Florida, hereinafter referred to as the "Sanford Housing Authority" or "SHA," is providing Notice of a Public Comment Period and Public Hearing  on its Public Housing Authority (PHA) Five-Year Plan for FY 2020 -2025.   

The Sanford Housing Authority submitted its PHA Five-Year Plan for FY 2020 -2025 to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in May 2020. The Five-Year Plan addresses the SHA's long-term mission, goals, and objectives for the five year-period from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2025.The Sanford Housing Authority must hold an annual public hearing regarding any changes to the goals, objectives, and policies of the agency and invite public comment. The Sanford Housing Authority has made no changes to the goals and objectives in the Five-Year Plan.

The Public Comment Period on the SHA's annual goals and objective will begin on Monday, April 20, 2023, and conclude on June 8, 2023.  SHA will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the  City of Sanford Police Headquarters, 815 Historic Goldsboro Boulevard, Sanford, FL 32771. The Sanford Housing Authority's Board of Commissioners will receive verbal and/or written comments on the goals and objectives until the closing of the Public Hearing.  Written comments should be addressed to Vivian Bryant, Esq., President/CEO, Sanford Housing Authority, 120 Lexington Green Lane, Sanford, Florida, 32771.

A copy of the Plan will be available for review, commencing Thursday April 20, 2023 at the locations listed below, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday*. A copy of the SHA PHA 5-Year Plan is also available on the OHA website.
