June 12, 2025 OHA Board Meeting Minutes
The Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of Orlando, Florida (OHA) held its Board Meeting on Thursday, June 12, 2025. Chair Brooks called the meeting to order at 9:03 a.m. This is the seventh (7th) meeting of the 2025 fiscal year.

III. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES - April 17, 2025
Vice Chair Brice Aikens moved to accept the board meeting minutes on April 17, 2025. Commissioner Sascha Rizzo seconded the motion, which was carried.

Mr. Michael Simmons, Vice President of Administration and Chief Financial Officer, presented the following reports:

CONSENT AGENDA
The Board of Commissioners acted upon the following consent agenda item through a single vote. Commissioner Sascha Rizzo motioned to approve the Consent Agenda. Commissioner Bruni Alfaro seconded the motion. It was carried. The Board approved the Orlando Housing Authority Board of Commissioners' Consent Agenda.

Ms. Vivian Bryant, Esq., President/CEO, informed the Board of the following Conferences:
- National Association of Housing Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) Summer Conference New York, NY - July 28-31, 2025
- Florida Association of Housing Redevelopment Officials (FAHRO) Annual Conference Orlando, FL - July 28-31, 2025
- STRATEGIC PLAN
Ms. Vivian Bryant, Esq., President/CEO, presented the Strategic Plan update. Ms. Bryant stated that the CEO's Personal Goals are incorporated in the Plan. - OPEN FORUM
- Commissioner Bruni Alfaro shared her recent trip to Seattle, Washington, to attend the PHADA Annual Convention.
- Vice Chair Brice Aikens stated that he also attended the PHADA Annual Convention and will share some conference materials with the Board.
- This is Commissioner Dionna Little's first meeting. She wanted to say hello to everyone and thank the guests present in the room. She asked if the Orlando Housing Authority has a homeownership program and whether there is a pathway to homeownership for the residents. The President/CEO, Vivian Bryant explained that the Orlando Housing Authority has a Homeownership Program since 2006. OHA Homeownership Counselor, Iris Diaz, continues to meet with those homeowners. Ms. Dias met with public housing residents from Lorna Doone Apartments and Lake Mann Homes to prepare them for homeownership. Those households currently have insufficient income to be homeowners. OHA will continue to work with them in the Moving to Work Resource Center.
- Commissioner Bruni Alfaro shared her recent trip to Seattle, Washington, to attend the PHADA Annual Convention.

Ms. Vivian Bryant, Esq., President/CEO, discussed the following:
- Her meeting with Commissioner Peed and Ms. Carolyn Fennel to discuss a Public Relations staff position.
- The upcoming National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) Conference.
